Condition: This particular body is in excellent condition and was recently serviced. We rate it 8/10 — there are visible signs of use on the chassis, but nothing that affects functionality. The viewfinder is clean and clear, and the built-in light meter is accurate and working.
The Pentax ME Super (1979) was the upgraded successor to the original ME, introducing a faster 1/2000s top shutter speed and full manual control via two push-buttons next to the prism — a clever, compact design that kept the body small while giving you complete exposure control. It uses a Seiko MFC-E2 vertical-travel metal-blade shutter, a bright SPD-cell TTL light meter, and accepts the entire Pentax K-mount lens family.
Famed for its small footprint, light weight and quiet operation, the ME Super is a favourite of travel and street photographers — it disappears in a jacket pocket and shoots about as quietly as a 35mm SLR can. Aperture priority handles most everyday shooting, and the manual mode is right there when you want it.
